Inland Tours
Our inland tours take you to some of the most popular and beautiful locations in Puerto Galera, such as Tamaraw Falls, Hidden Paradise, The Hanging Bridge and the Mangyan Village.
Only P1200 per person including lunch, drinks, transportation, entrance fees and guide fee. Minimum 6 persons. Experience jungle river kayaking as part of this tour for an additional P800!
Tamaraw Falls is only 14km outside of the main town of Puerto Galera. Here the cool mountain waters plummet 30 metres into a natural pool beside the road, run under a stone bridge into two constructed swimming pools, then flow out again into a jungle gorge. Thatched shelters, perched on the edge of the pools, are available for picnicking. There are toilets, and a kiosk at the entrance selling snacks, soft drinks and beer.
A great place to stop and cool down. The water feels very cold when you first get in, although the actual temperature is not that cold, but the hot humid weather provides a stark contrast. Once you are in it’s extremely refreshing!
Hidden Paradise (also known as Tukuran Falls) is definitely not an experience to be missed! Upon arriving in the jeepney at San Teodoro, guests can either walk or ride on the back of an ox-drawn cart, following the path of the river until reaching the cool, clear waters of Tukuran Falls. Here you will find a spectacular natural pool where you can enjoy a refreshing swim, surrounded by lush tropical jungle. At this point our guests can also enjoy a delicious traditional barbecue lunch with fresh grilled fish and meat, and local fruits and vegetables.
On the journey back from Tukuran Falls, we stop at the Hanging Bridge. This steel hanging bridge spans far across both sides of the river and gives you a great perspective as well as excellent photo opportunities.
The Mangyan Village near Talipanan is the last stop on our tour. Here you will get to meet some of the indigenous residents of the island. These nomadic tribespeople live in the mountains surrounding Puerto Galera where they live and farm on a subsistance basis. They are warm and friendly and are always happy to welcome tourists into their village. Often people will take along some food to donate as a sign of respect to the Mangyans’ rich cultural heritage.
Jungle river Kayaking can also be included as part of your inland tour for an additional P800 p/person. Experience a leisurely paddle downstream for a great adventure and immerse yourself in the beauty of Mindoro’s lush tropical jungle. Completely safe and suitable for all ages.
Taal Volcano Tour
Visit the world’s smallest active volcano! Many locals and foreign tourists flock to this volcano island all year round to see this incredible work of nature. The crater lake is accessible on foot for bathing in the warm sulphuric water, which is thought to have medicinal properties.
Taal Volcao tour costs P4000 p/person and includes lunch, drinks, transportation, entrance fees and guide fee.
ISLAND TOURS – Beach hopping and Snorkeling
